Catina Haugen is in her 19th year in education. Fourteen years teaching 5th & 6th grades and now in her 5th year as an administrator. Catina lives in Petaluma, California with her husband, Jeff, and two boys, Joshua and Jacob. Valley Vista Elementary is her school home, a TK-6 campus of 325 students.

Catina is a lifelong learner who models that for staff and students. She attends conferences and trainings to sharper her skills and presents as well to share her knowledge and techniques with others. She believes her PLN is her greatest professional asset, other educators around the world who push her to be her best, connect with students daily and challenge the boundaries and traditions of education.
